Eric is getting started on editing! We know it's gonna be a bit before you guys get to see any footage, but we wanted to share some of the adventure while it's still super fresh to us! There are tons of pictures below to give you some excitement about the videos to come! If you don't want any spoilers, don't scroll!
It all started with the world's biggest plane ticket! At least that's what the lady called it. We did get regular tickets, but this is still a massively retro receipt, right?
Kyde's beverage of juice on any flight... tomato juice!
Our first sight in Ho Chi Minh City was the tax meter telling us HELLO! We felt at home!
All the dongs!
Feet on the ground! It's time to buy a bike! This is the contract that actually give Kyde ownership of her first motor vehicle!
Our first tourist attraction! The Notre Dame Cathedral!
We visted the street corner where the famous self-immolation by a monk was performed in the 1960s. Not only is the image that they captured during that time incredible, but they created a monument that truly captured the moment as well.
Graffiti kitty earmuffs!
A fancy dinner at Cyclo Resto!
While we chowed down at Cyclo Resto, we got to enjoy the millions of messages written on the walls by people who had come to the restaurant in years passed. Every bit of space was filled!
We met Jesus!
Eskimo kisses with a fish!
Sexy!
You know Kyde got a high five!
Flips on the beach a little before sunset!
We got the stupidest looking sweet treat we could find! The yellow part was pretty styrofoamy and it was filled with chocolate and vanilla ice cream!
Lady and the tramp!
We found the ocean!
Went past many dragon fruit farms and had to buy some! This is Eric's fruit on the beach pose!
It was so fresh and good!
Beach camera fun!
Tiger Beer!
Hot pot! You'll never guess what kind of meat!
White sand dunes in Mui Ne!
This is food? Really? Yes.
Finally got to swim on a beautiful, deserted beach!
No one around except a few fisherman!
Eric was so excited to ride on the beach! It didn't last too long!
Took ?????? for a tune up! Her name will be revealed in the videos!
We headed to a stream canyon and took a little stroll!
Kyde Sand Art!
The walls were amazing!
The trek there got a bit deep.
At the end there was a little waterfall and we got a power shower!
Eric had high expectations for climbing this tree, but it turned out to be a little too difficult!
Perfect timing!
Fancy restaurant fun!
Having a little too much fun?
DANGER!
Back on the bike with a lollipop make Eric a happy boy!
Kyde gets very confused with camera technology sometimes!
Stopped at a very local place to eat. There was no one in the place and we jumped in our first scary meal of food that has definitely been sitting out for a bit. That's normal here, so we went for it. Spoiler: No one got sick! HOORAY!
Eric made a new friend that had to have a picture with him!
Eric picked the best restaurant! The people that ran the place were so much fun! We couldn't speak each other's languages but we tried our best with a little translation section in our guidebook. They were super sweet!
Mystery pop!
That's my man!
Yup, that my man!
Kyde is still getting used to her new haircut!
Eric was playing with extended exposure and it came out really cool!
Dalat really had a European feel!
100,000 dongs! You can see Eric through the peep hole!
Just a little sunburn! Poor Eric!
Kyde was ready to eat anything when we landed and she did her best. This is Mi Quang, a soup with pork and shrimp which isn't very scary, but she did just walk up and say yes to a pot of unknown stuff!
Got overtaken by a crowd of high school students outside the little Eiffel Tower.
Kyde climbed a giraffe!
At the top of Dalat in the Crazy House.
Buddies!
Can you find Eric?
Crazy is not an exaggeration.
It's not that often that you ride a rollercoaster to a...
Waterfall! Note: The beverage by Eric, Miranda Sarsi, is one of the best we've ever had!
A little market browsing got Kyde a new white scarf and she spotted this sweater that looks just like one that she owns at home! Meow!
The best way to get a little pep!
It's time to ride in the Swooster!
After a couple nights of in the chilly weather of Dalat at a hotel that would never produce warm water, Kyde scored us an escape at a little cottage (hot water included)!!
The Valley of Love Tree!
Vietnamese zodiac fun! The only difference between the Chinese and Vietnamese zodiac is that rabbits in the Chinese are cats in the Vietnamese.
Oink!
Eric found his mom!
Kyde should have been born a dragon!
Vietnamese fast food!
Vietnamese baked goods are not to be missed!
The black drink of... delicious! We think it's black sesame but it really could have been anything!
Her name is ?????!!! Since we owned the bike, we thought we should put our mark on it!
This kind of stuff really exists outside of tourist sites!
Riding through a cloud!
We found a huge waterfall on the side of a mountain!
I took this picture of Eric and thought it was the best picture ever!
Then Eric took this picture and it was official that he was the better photographer!
Kyde's hair was doing great things that day!
Even when it's a little gloomy that green still pops!
This is totally navigatiable!
Smile!
Warm mud bath in an egg! Nice way to spend our last day!
Fun!
The view outside the egg was tropically eggceptional!
Our footprints!
Our last day with ?????? was a sad one but it was great thinking about how much fun we had with her! The blue card in Kyde's hand shows that we actually owned it! It was nice to flash it to the locals!
Gonna miss this chaos!
Classy!
Enough said!
We made a friend on our airport shuttle that turned out to be a Ho Chi Minh native and he invited us to dinner! We had pho and lots of chatting!
The sunrise Kyde caught after almost missing the plane!
